NFT Collectibles from Retail Stores

Retail Stores with Multiple Locations

When we think of more ways that businesses may be able to take advantage of collectible NFTs, lets take a look at retail stores specifically. For this example, these collections of NFTs would probably be better for a store that has numerous different locations. Collections from stores that have this criteria, we think, could be a very prime candidate for creating these types of collectible NFTs.

Collecting NFTs for Visiting Certain Stores

If we may, let’s talk about something different than restaurants or fast food places. Maybe we take a look at shoe stores for example. Please also keep in mind that many scenarios, collections and businesses can be entered into any of these ideas being presented. If we look at Journey’s, the shoe store, they have hundreds of locations around the nation. What if, each store had a unique (to that store) NFT that people could collect every time they visited that store? Each NFT could be designed according to the city it is located. (Think of the way that Hard Rock Cafe has merchandise pertaining to the city they’re in) It could also potentially be tailored to a certain time of year or holiday, or maybe have a different color per month. As visitors visit stores, different NFTs are collected and organized in your unique digital wallet.

Collectible NFTs that Hold Value

Let’s take this even one step further, let’s say that a person has quite a collection of Journey’s NFTs. It could be a certain number that is a certain color for visiting within a certain month. It could potentially be an “every Tuesday” NFT, or a certain color of NFTs from different Journey’s stores around the city or state or even country that makes up this collection. At any rate, this collection, other than being pretty neat to the original collector, could also create potential value on a secondary market.

Collectible NFTs as Branding Opportunities

As brands become aware and understand the possibility that this presents to their customers, they would be able to capitalize on this opportunity in a few different ways. First off, when a person who comes to a Journey’s store, even if it’s just to get the “I Visited This Store” NFT, they have to come inside. If people are coming just to get the NFT of a place they normally shop, they’re most like going to notice something in the store that catches their eye that they’re interested in. From a business standpoint, this is a great way to get people into your store to sell more merchandise.

Collectible NFTs that Create Excitement

There could even be a possibility of the store manager or owner to offer discounts to people who receive the NFT or have a collection of “I Visited” NFTs. Once people (collectors especially) see and realize what is being created by one of their favorite brands, the possibilities are not only endless but more and more ideas will become more and more normal and NFTs will become the new normal

Conclusion

As previously discussed, (see other branding article here) there is a plethora of possibilities when it comes to this avenue. When brands, businesses, stores and companies see the trend, they will be more willing to put advertising dollars towards creating an NFT collection to spread brand awareness as well as bringing more people to the stores to spend more money and sell more merchandise. This is just one more aspect of collectible NFTs and what the future could hold in this arena.
